Kerry joined the team at JMK Solicitors in 2022 as a Solicitor in our personal injury team. Prior to this, she worked as a personal injury paralegal in England for a number of years and more recently in a NI firm, working in the areas of road traffic accidents, civil litigation (accidents at work, slips, and trips), general civil litigation & employment law
Kerry is a graduate of Queens University Belfast, with a postgraduate diploma from the College of Law in Chester. She was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors of England & Wales in 2012 and NI in 2014. She also holds a postgraduate certificate in Employment Law and Practice and Advanced Advocacy.
Kerry understands that sustaining an injury can have serious effects on a person’s mental and physical health, relationships, and day-to-day life. She likes to get to know the client on a one-to-one basis to determine what really matters to them in order to ensure the best personal outcome for them through the legal process.
Kerry finds it rewarding to help her clients through what can be a very stressful time in their lives and to secure a good outcome for them in terms of compensation.
- Secured £12,000 compensation for a client who slipped on a spillage of fruit juice in a branch of a well-known supermarket chain, causing a soft tissue injury to their hip
- Acted for one of nine Claimants in an unfair dismissal claim against NI Executive, the group settlement was described as one of the biggest of its kind in Northern Ireland
- Acted for a passenger in a road traffic accident who suffered soft tissue injuries to their neck and back and a laceration to their lip, securing £20,000 compensation.
Outside of work
Kerry is a keen cook and also enjoys reading and spending time with her children.
