Background
Edel joined JMK Solicitors in 2007 from an insurance broker background which provides her with a unique perspective and experience on how claims are handled from the insurer side.
She specialises in personal injury and specialist loss cases and has significant experience in taking cases to Court.
Edel has a HND in Business and Finance and a number of insurance qualifications.
Approach
Edel enjoys helping and guiding her clients through a difficult time in their lives, and feels it is a privilege to get to do so. She builds rapport and personal relationships with her clients and gets to know them. Edel finds it rewarding that so any of her clients refer their family and friends to her when they require assistance.
Experience
- Acted for a client who was badly injured following a motorcycle accident where they hit a sheep.
- Secured a significant settlement amount for a terminally ill client, giving his family financial security.
- Edel has achieved good results in a number of cases involving a road traffic collision with an animal, securing compensation for her clients.
Outside of work
In her spare time Edel enjoys travel, family time and keeping active – her next goal is to complete a marathon!
