Jonathan McKeown (Partner)
Jonathan graduated from Queen’s University, Belfast in 1995 with a Bachelors Degree in Aeronautical engineering before studying Business Administration and Law at Sheldon Jackson College, Sitka, Alaska. Following this Jonathan graduated from Queen’s university with a bachelor of Legal Science degree in 1999. Jonathan qualified as a solicitor in 2001 and previously worked in Newry and Antrim before founding the firm in 2003. Jonathan specialises in Road Traffic Accident claims.

Maurece Hutchinson (Partner)
Maurece graduated Queens University Belfast 1994 with Honours degree in law (LLB); admitted as a Solicitor in 1996. Maurece has worked mainly in litigation since qualification and in particular personal injury litigation specialising in road traffic accident, public liability, employer’s liability and medical negligence claims.

Fiona McNulty (Practice Manager)
Fiona received a HND in Business Studies and a Degree in Business Management at Dublin Business School in 1999. After several years in retail environment, Fiona worked for Northern Bank before joining the firm in 2004. Fiona was appointed Practice Manager In November 2006.

Bronagh Treanor (HR and H&S Officer)
Bronagh graduated from Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh with a degree in Information Management in 2001. Then continued onto work for a local Newry company as Recruitment & Monitoring Officer joining the firm in 2007.

Olivia Meehan (Solicitor)
Olivia graduated from Queens University Belfast with a degree in law and politics in 2003 and qualified as a Solicitor in 2005. Olivia joined Jonathan McKeown Solicitors in 2007 and primarily specialises in all aspects of matrimonial and family work.
Olivia also deals with private litigation to include acting on behalf of both plaintiff and defendant and has experience in Wills and Residential Conveyancing.

Aoife Mellon (Solicitor)
Aoife graduated from Queens University, Belfast in 2002 with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and continued her studies at the College of Law, Chester. On completing academic education, Aoife trained with a Manchester law firm and was admitted as a solicitor in 2007. Aoife joined the firm upon qualification and specialises in personal injury litigation.

Conor Woods (Solicitor)
Conor graduated with a law degree from Trinity College Dublin in 1997. Since then he has worked exclusively in personal injury, recently joining the firm after a number of years in London and Manchester. He has particular experience in road traffic accidents, employer’s liability and public liability claims, accidents abroad and criminal injury compensation claims.

Marie-Claire Meehan (Solicitor)
Marie-Claire graduated from Queen’s University Belfast in 1999 with an Honours Degree in Law and qualified as a Solicitor in 2001. Since the date of her qualification, Marie-Claire has worked in general practice and has experience in litigation, family/matrimonial matters, probate cases and domestic conveyancing.
David Smyth (Solicitor)
David graduated with a Degree in Law from Queen’s University Belfast in 2004 and joined the firm shortly after qualifying as a solicitor in 2008. He has experience in general practice and now works in road traffic accident litigation.

Bernadette graduated from Queens University Belfast with a degree in Law and Politics in 2005 and qualified as a solicitor in 2007. Kathryn McKernan (Solicitor)
Kathryn graduated from the University of Ulster in 2006 with a honours degree in Law and Economics. Kathryn commenced her professional career working in general practice and has experience in conveyancing, wills and probate, criminal law, litigation, family and matrimonial matters. Kathryn joined Jonathan McKeown Solicitors litigation department soon after qualification as a solicitor in 2008.

Kathy Ferguson (Solicitor)
Kathy graduated from the University of Dundee in 2004 with an Honours Degree in Law, and completed her Legal Practice Course at the College of Law Chester. After completing her training contract, she qualified as a solicitor in 2008 and has experience in personal injury and road traffic litigation.

Christine graduated with a law degree from Portobello College Dublin in 2003. Christine trained with a Dublin Law firm and was admitted as a solicitor in 2007. She joined Jonathan McKeown Solicitors in 2008 and specialises in road traffic accident and personal injury, in particular Republic of Ireland cases.

Sara Vaughan (Solicitor)
Sara graduated from the Magee College Campus of the University of Ulster in 2002, with an honours degree in Law and Business (LLB) before working as a student representative for two years. She completed the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in Chester in 2005 and then worked in a local firm specialising in road traffic accident personal injury claims. Sara qualified as a Solicitor in 2009.

Fiona Neville (Solicitor)
Fiona graduated from University College Dublin in 2002 with an Honours degree after studying for a Bachelor of Business & Legal Studies (BBLS) and qualified as a Solicitor in the Republic of Ireland in 2006. After working in a general practice where she worked in the areas of criminal law, conveyancing, wills and probate, criminal law, litigation, family and matrimonial matters, she joined the firm in January 2010. Fiona specialises in road traffic accident and personal injury claims, in particular Republic of Ireland cases.
Adrian Curran (Apprentice Solicitor)
Adrian graduated with a degree in Law from Queens University Belfast in 1995 and specialises in Road Traffic Accident litigation. Adrian previously worked for firms in Newry and Antrim before joining the firm when it started in 2003.

Catherine is currently completing her apprenticeship with the firm and attending the newly opened Graduate School of Professional Legal Education at Magee College, Derry.

Neil Morrison (Legal Executive)
Neil commenced his career in the Credit Control Department at the Head Office of a major Bank before moving to a leading Insurance Broker where he had the sole responsibility of dealing with all Motor Claims processed by the brokerage. Neil then joined a Solicitors practice in Newry where he worked in the Litigation Department for seven years before joining our firm in 2003. Neil specialises in Road Traffic Accident litigation and has extensive knowledge and experience in personal injury claims in both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland jurisdictions.

After studying Business and Finance in Newry College of Further and Higher Education Edel pursued a career in the insurance industry and estate agency. Edel joined the firm in 2007 taking up a position as a Legal Executive specialising in RTA litigation.

Since graduation she has worked in other law firms in the Belfast area and joined Jonathan McKeown Solicitors in December 2008 as a Legal Executive and hopes to further her legal career within the firm.

Donna Shepherd (Legal Executive)
Donna studied at the University of Liverpool before moving to Newry and joining the firm in March 2007. Despite returning to her native city in the summer of 2009, she has since resumed her employment with Jonathan McKeown Solicitors and looks forward to a long and happy career with the firm. She currently works in Credit Control and as a Client Liaison Officer and furthermore specialises in Road Traffic Accident Litigation.

Colin Fletcher (IT Manager)
Colin commenced his career with the University of Wolverhampton before moving to Wolverhampton City Council where he was responsible for the Council’s Microsoft server and application infrastructure. He graduated with a part-time honours degree in Computer Science in 1999 from the University of Wolverhampton. Colin recently moved to Bangor from the West Midlands and joined the team January 2010.

Agnes now living in the Banbridge area commenced employment with our firm in January 2008 as a bookkeeper. This involves the day to day accountancy connected with our clients accounts, and banking details. Having previously worked in solicitors offices in Ballymena for over 20 years therefore has extensive knowledge of all aspects of legal bookkeeping.

Clar Magill (Receptionist)
Clar is a Receptionist. In 2002 she completed an OCR Level 2 exam on word processing and qualified with a distinction. She studied a module in reception and it was at this point were Clar became very interested in this line of work. She also has a certificate in client relations.

I recently moved to Northern Ireland from the West Midlands. I worked for many years as a Civil Servant covering a variety of roles. For the last two years I worked as an adviser in one of the departments. I look forward to the challenge of working at Jonathan McKeown Solicitors.

Dorota Osobliwa (Office Clerk)
Dorota is originally from Poland where she is finishing her Bachelor Degree in Tourism with the University of Poland through long distance study. Dorota is fluent in 3 languages Polish, English and German. She joined the firm in April 2008 and is currently undertaking the position of Office Clerk.
Leanne Nicholson (Office Clerk)
Leanne completed her NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration through The Link Works in Kilkeel. She went on to undertake the role of an Order Entry Administrator, from here Leanne went on to become an Accounts Assistant were she was in charge of Sage Payroll. Leanne just joined the firm in March 2009 were she is currently undertaking the role of an Office Clerk.
